‘Don’t just pray. Take action. Do something!’

Takako and Sarah Perceval

Takako and Sarah Perceval

Those were the words uttered by the Dalai Lama to Takako and she has never forgotten them. After discovering her inner peace, she decided to listen to the Dalai Lama’s advice on how individuals can make a difference. Convinced that war does not work for humanity, she regularly holds a peace vigil in front of the Japanese Embassy in London. Her story of conviction and courage inspired us to include her as one of the nine heroines featured in our latest CD: Women Who Changed the World.

Here, the narrator of Women Who Changed the World, Sarah Perceval, presents Takako with a copy of the CD by the Japanese Embassy.
