Kelly Snook, the musician behind our audio stories Women Who Changed the World has been involved in the Prison Poems Project.
This year marks the 9th anniversary of the unlawful imprisonment of the seven Baha’i ‘Yaran’ (the ad hoc appointed leaders of the Baha’i community in Iran). The Prison Poems project is part of the worldwide campaign. #ReleaseBahai7Now to raise awareness of their plight and to seek their immediate release.
In the UK, in response to this campaign, various artists have come together to participate in the ‘Prison Poems Project’, a series of short film clips that give voice to the poems of Mahvash Sabet, one of the seven prisoners. Watch the above video of Kelly Snook’s interpretation of Mrs Sabet’s poem ‘The Sun’.

Selection of biographical stories of nine culturally and spiritually diverse women spans from early 19th century to modern days, aimed at children 6-12 years old.
