Blog 7: Getting over fear

Did you know that many people are terrified of public speaking?

Of course you did! And you may find that fear creeping up on you when you start storytelling. It is, after all, a very challenging form of public speaking. All eyes (and ears) are on you, and you can’t pause for too long, and there is so much to remember!

Dealing with our fears more generally is a topic that often comes up with children.

Whether its during preparation for a school play, sports competition, or finding an unexpected spider in your schoolbag. Finding the strength to take positive steps while under stress is a big life lesson we are all constantly learning.

You may find it helpful to read through some of the tips offered by professionals on this topic. In our upcoming collection of stories “The Power of Kindness” we explore the effect of kindness in these kind of challenging situations through the inspiring life of ʻAbdu'l-Bahá.

Here you can find a preview story from that collection. A world exclusive!

Every aspect of this story, from the music to the slow paced narration, are all geared towards removing anxieties, and helping young listeners understand the mysterious power of kindness.
